How to Quickly (and Enjoyably) Reduce Stress & Anxiety With Hypnotherapy
We are all going through some pretty unusual times at the moment.
Lots of people are feeling uncertain and anxious around how we navigate our own everyday lives, adapt to constantly changing circumstances and not only cope but thrive.
If you are someone who is drawn towards helping others you may also have been wondering about, or looking for, tools to manage these emotions.
When we are stressed our bodies release a cocktail of stress hormones that help us to stay alert, look out for danger and either run away from it, fight it or turn inwards and go into freeze mode.
You might notice a lot of the people around you reacting in one of these ways at the moment.
Perhaps by being constantly ‘on-edge’, having a shorter fuse than usual or simply withdrawing from what’s going on, and not engaging or taking any action at all.
These reactions were great back in the days when we had to run away from sabre tooth tigers. But in a slow-burn pandemic they really don’t serve us. In fact they can harm us in many ways.
The longer term effects of stress and fear, and the build up of stress hormones, stops us getting proper deep sleep. Stress also interferes with our digestive system and lowers our immune system function.
Hypnotherapy is not only a wonderful modality to work with our emotions, but recent studies have shown it can also measurably help with boosting the immune system in the face of stressful events* and promote healing when used in combination with the best that medical science has to offer**.
Fortunately, hypnotherapy is a wonderful antidote to fear and stress and having access to the tools which ease the anxiety and boost our immune system is more needed than ever.
And that is why I am sharing this stress relieving hypnotic meditation with you. Please feel free to share it with anyone you think could benefit from reducing their level of stress and building up a more positive and calm reaction to events outside of our control.
And if you would like to know more about how you can help people everyday as a professional hypnotherapist, I would love to talk with you :)
